I’m going to miss my little friends that have joined us for the past three weeks. We really enjoyed having them at the first kid’s music camp and trust that the kids learned some valuable music knowledge and skills during the camp. Besides learning we discovered what many of them are interested in musically. Parents please allow your children to follow through with their musical passions while they are at such a young age. As they get older, they’ll certainly gain interest in other areas and the desire to be a musician may be replaced with some other interest. Although music is not the sole part of the worship process, it does play a vital role. So again, I ask for your help in encouraging your children to pursue music with enthusiasm.
Although the music camp is over, we will begin working on the Children’s musical on Wednesday, September 8th at 5:30 so please mark that on your calendars. I’m anticipating a great response with the kids and trust that you parents will encourage them to sing with us!
If you have ever considered joining the choir, this Wednesday night is the perfect time to join us! We are anticipating a very special guest who will be joining us that evening. Very soon we’ll begin working on our Christmas musical! I’m more excited about this Christmas program than any I’ve ever been associated with! So if you are a high school student or if you are 100 yrs old, you have an invitation to join the choir and help us as worship leaders!
I’m also planning and hopeful to have enough participants for a teen Christmas musical that will include both middle school and high school students. Be on the lookout for rehearsal times for this!
